Vitrification (oocyte preservation)
Vitrification is a technique to freeze oocytes.
This treatment is useful in women starting a medical treatment that may harm their fertility such as chemotherapy or stem cell transplantation. The eggs retain the age of the moment of freezing.
This also allows young women who do not (yet) have a partner to preserve their fertility. This way, women gain time. We recommend performing vitrification before the age of 35.
